The first clock factory in China modern clock industry---Yantai Baoshi Clock Factory was opening with the registered trademark “Bao”
1931
Baoshi Clock Factory merged with DeShunxing Hardware Company into DeShunxing Clock Factory.
1934
7 days hairspring toll wall clock had been successfully researched and developed, which was first made in China.
With the total investment of 30,000 silver dollars, a new 500 square meters factory had been built on the east side of south-end of Chaoyang Street.
1936
15 days mechanical pendulum clock and alarm clock with single or double bell was initiative in China
Neighboring with the new factory, Jincheng cinema (XinZhongguo cinema now) was built with total investment of 40,000 silver dollars and total area of 1463 square meters.
1955
It was initiative in China to successfully research and develop big three-hand alarm clock, and put into mass production.
1956
DeShunxing, Xinde, Yongye merged with other clock factories into Yantai Clock Factory of joint state-private ownership, which was attached to light industry office of Shandong province. The registered trademark was “Bao”.
1957
The successful research of model 10-1 shipping clock (Model 104 marine chronometer) fills the domestic gap.
1959
Three-hand watch was successfully trial-produced.
Have examined and approved by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, “Polaris” trademark begun to use with the registered number 33351.
Model 104 marine chronometer was collected into the Museum of the Chinese Revolution.
1962
Yantai Clock Factory was changed into Shandong Yantai Timepiece Factory owned by the whole people and attached to light industry office of Shandong province.
1964
31 days mechanical toll pendulum clock was successfully trial-produced. Model T1 15-day mechanical toll pendulum clock with the unity movement was put into production at Yantai Timepiece Factory.
1967
Model SYI quartz astronomic clock was successfully researched and produced. Its chronometer rate obtained at about ±0.5 seconds.
1978
The development of the third generation of pointer electronic wristwatch has finished.
1979
Polaris 15-day mechanical pendulum clock won the first prize of the same products appraised through comparison within the country and awarded the State Silver Medal of the first Product Quality appraisal.
1980
The Polaris trademark was granted National Famous Trademark certificate by State Administration of Industry and Commerce.
1987
Yantai Polaris Timepiece (Group) Company was founded, which was the first group in timepiece industry in China.
1991
Polaris Group was awarded National Prize for Progress of The Seventh Five Year Plan.
The results of the first China top brand contest were announced. Polaris was selected to be “China Ten Top Brands” by all customers.
1996
Polaris was appointed as “Shandong Famous Band in 1995” by the Economic and Trade Committee of Shandong province.
Self-researched and developed large regional time control system has been first using in Beijing West Railway station.
1997
Polaris firstly exported the engineering clock---primary-secondary clock synchronic system to Iran and Syria.
1998
Polaris large regional time control system was assessed as “National Key and New Product”.
1999
Yantai Polaris Timepiece Group was put into the list of first “KEY EXPORT BRAND to be SUPPORTED and DEVELOPED by MOFTEC” and had undertaken the project of primary-secondary clock synchronic system for Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, which was the first whole factory time system in China designed and installed and debugged specially for nuclear power plant.
2000
The first Chinese Horologe Museum was built by Polaris Timepiece Group in Yantai.
2001
Yantai Polaris State-holding Co.,Ltd was founded.
2002
Yantai Polaris State-holding Co.,Ltd formed a “Polaris” Trademark Management Committee, promulgated “Polaris Trademark Management Rules” “the Charging Standard for Use of Polaris Trademark and Business name” “Product Quality Management Regulation” and “Management Rules for the using of anti-counterfeit mark” etc. in December, which bring trademark management and other related work into disciplined management track.
2003
Polaris products were on the list of “KEY EXPORT BRAND to be FOSTERED and DEVELOPED by MOFCOM” in 2003 and 2004.
2005
Polaris Horology was honorably ranked as “KEY EXPORT BRAND to be FOSTERED and DEVELOPED by MOFCOM” in 2005 and 2006.
Polaris product was awarded “China Top Brand”.
2006
Polaris Industrial Zone in Fushan district held the foundation stone laying ceremony.
2007
Polaris was invited to be a guest of “Science Discovering” program in CCTV to tell “the secret of movement”.
