According to《the People's Republic of China Brand Law》and《YANTAI POLARIS STATE-HOLDING CO.,LTD. Brand Management Methods (Trying)》, provisions for “Polaris”brand name、business firm employment license charging are as followings:
一、 Charging Scope
All the companies that use“Polaris”as company business firm or product brand name.
二、 Charging Standard
1.All the companies that use“Polaris”brand, according to sales income, business achievement and registered capital, are verified and charged annual fee for the brand employment(0.3%—3% of sales income in principle).
2.The companies that use“Polaris”as company business firm but not as product brand name, according to business achievement and registered capital, are charged annual fee for business firm employment. The minimum is ten thousand yuan.
三、 Charging Methods
1.Annual fee for brand name employment is checked and ratified annually, and paid monthly or quarterly.
2. Annual fee for business firm employment is a noninstallment charge within one month from the date of signing the license employment contract; it is checked and ratified annually afterwards, and paid up within one month from the date of checking only one time.
四、 Charging Purposes
The charged fee for brand name and business firm employment by the holding company is mainly used for advertisement and maintenance for the brand name、supervision and inspection for product quality; and various encouragement for companies that use“Polaris”as business firm or brand name.
五、 Favorable Policies
Encourage companies to develop new products and new varieties; the newly developed products and varieties can enjoy the favorable policy that reduces or remits the employment fee for the brand name within one to three years after approved by the holding company; encourage companies to use“Polaris”components, the holding company should accord appropriate encouragement to the companies that use “Polaris”components according to the amount used; encourage companies to develop and maintain“Polaris”brand actively, the holding company should accord encouragement according to specific situation to the companies that make great contribution to develop and maintain“Polaris”brand and the companies whose business achievement advances greatly.
These provisions are brought into effect from January 1, 2003
